Frank Bruno paid us a visit over Black History month with over 200 of our residents piling into the town hall for a talk, many of them people of colour who haven’t been into it before.
We, the new Labour administration are really making this the People’s Town Hall.
Frank grew up in Wandsworth, Boxing at some of the local gyms, but now resides in the the loftier part of london!
Frank spoke about good mental health and the importance of being healthy as well as his successes and connection to the borough. Everyone had a lovely story to tell and he left to go see an old friend he hadn't seen in ages on the resquest of one of our residents.
What a star and what a joy to have to bring the end of the First Black History month of our tenure.
Will it be repeated next year.... time will tell.
