2021. It's a year.

2020 has been widely touted as the most cancelled year in my lifetime of cancelled years.

Not in the least because so many things were actually cancelled, but the year went so quickly it felt like it cancelled itself halfway through.

And yet somehow it still dragged on so. Not much happened and yet a lot of life changing, thought provoking things did happen. A year of contradictions and fake news.

2021 is gearing up to be no better. After a Christmas of misguided bubbles, which would have only served to spread the virus and cancelled New Years eve celebrations, where everyone was tucked up in bed by 10pm, we were all rudely reminded of how insane things have gotten byt the behaviour of a few.

There was a riot where terrorists stormed Captiol Hill in the US incited by the "president" who refuses to acknowledge the fact that he lost the last election. And worse theres a regular recording of over 1000 deaths due to Coronavirus daily in England. That's a lot of human life.

Like most people, I assume, I've gotten used to lockdown life and beginning to appreciate all my walks, even if it's just to the shop. any excuse to get out of jogging bottom's is quite an achievement.

Resigning myself to the fact that this is going to be life until at least April.

I'm not complaining. I would rather be alive.
