Last weeks post went down very well with Graveney residents, thanking me for un-shrouding the mystery of #CouncillorLife.
It is pretty bland in truth.
So, here is a run down on how I've been working for you this week:
Gave a presentation to some newly elected councillors, from across the country with tips on how to approach and tackle anti-oppressive practise and encourage diversity in their new roles.
Fed into a discussion about how disciplinary action for Councillors is undertaken in the Co-operative party
Met with food aid providers from across the borough to discuss Cash First approaches to poverty and a conference being held which will look at food inequality and the key drivers behind it (Friday 28th)
Reported the flooding around the statue at Tooting Broadway station and working with TFL/WBC for a long term fix to the issue
Attended the Tooting (constituency Labour Party) CLP meeting and gave a verbal overview of what I've been up to Tooting Labour members
Supported a resident with a infestation issue
Met with the Wandsworth Labour Exec to discuss party business...
Responded to so many emails about fly tipping and general rubbish
Visited Mellison gardens to check it's progress - Looking good
Shopped locally
And did my day job/s - of which there are two!
Thats all!
